Erie Canal Village
Step back in time. This outdoor museum – an 1840’s canal village located where the first shovelful of earth was turned for the Erie Canal – features mule drawn boat rides, train excursions, historic buildings and demonstrations.
Follow in the paths of history. In 1777, Fort Stanwix withstood a 21-day siege by British forces that contributed to the victory by American forces at Saratoga. Reconstructed on the original site, it looks just like it did during the Revolution.
